FOUNDATION
Miden was incorporated, setting the vision and assembling the team to build modern payments infrastructure for Africa.
MAY 2023 -
PRODUCT LAUNCH
We launched Miden, bringing our platform to market and enabling businesses across Sub-Saharan Africa to access modern financial tools.
JANUARY 2024 -
Y COMBINATOR (W24)
Miden joined Y Combinator, accelerating our growth and connecting us with a global network of operators, investors, and partners.
JULY 2024 -
FIRST REGULATORY LICENSE (IMTO)
We secured our first major payment license, enabling compliant cross-border money movement.
FEBRUARY 2025 -
MSB AND PSP LICENSE
We secured MSB and PSP licenses in Canada, enabling compliant cross-border payments and marking our entry into North America.
MAY 2025 -
MARKET TRACTION AT SCALE
Miden onboarded its 50th customer and surpassed $10 million in monthly transaction volume.
NOVEMBER 2025 -
BANKING LAYER
We acquired a Tier-1 Microfinance Bank, deepening our stack and enabling embedded banking and payment experiences.
February 2026 -
PSSP License Acquisition
We secured a PSSP license, strengthening our position as a fully integrated payments infrastructure provider.
March 2026 -
Expansion into other countries
We expanded to new African countries: Kenya, Sierra Leone, Tanzania and South Africa.
